Snowboards comparison — 2025-2026 season
How they compare
Both target all mountain and freestyle terrain, while the Burton Custom X leans more freeride. They share a directional twin shape — mostly twin with a slight directional bias—versatile for all-mountain and some switch. The Burton Custom X has a camber profile (arc underfoot for strong edge hold, pop, and stability on hardpack—lively and precise), while the Burton Process uses hybrid (rocker/camber) (mix of camber and rocker zones for all-mountain versatility—grip, float, and play in one profile). The Burton Custom X is noticeably stiffer at 7/10 versus the Burton Process's 3/10, suiting more aggressive riding. The Burton Custom X targets expert riders while the Burton Process is aimed at advanced riders.

What to inspect and what not to confuse when buying used. Not on-snow reviews.
Burton’s stiffest Custom. Used X decks show up less often than regular Customs, so a clean base can command more — but do not pay Custom X money for a Custom X Flying V. Check for chatter cracks and blown edges from hard charging.
Burton’s softer, more playful sibling to the Custom. Used supply is steady; watch for park rash and blown edges. Process Flying V is a different board — more forgiving, less precise on hardpack.
