Snowboards comparison — 2026-2027 season
How they compare
Both target all mountain terrain, while the Jones Mind Expander leans more freeride/powder. The Jones Aviator 2.0 uses a directional twin shape while the Jones Mind Expander is directional. The Jones Aviator 2.0 has a camber profile (arc underfoot for strong edge hold, pop, and stability on hardpack—lively and precise), while the Jones Mind Expander uses hybrid (rocker/camber) (mix of camber and rocker zones for all-mountain versatility—grip, float, and play in one profile). The Jones Aviator 2.0 is slightly stiffer, though both sit in the medium range. The Jones Aviator 2.0 targets expert riders while the Jones Mind Expander is aimed at advanced riders.

What to inspect and what not to confuse when buying used. Not on-snow reviews.
Jones’s camber-leaning all-mountain board. Used supply is moderate; confirm you are not buying a Mountain Twin or Stratos, and inspect the base and edges rather than paying for a newer season sticker.
Playful powder/freeride shape. Used examples are worth it when the base is flat and the swallow or tapered tail is intact. A dinged tail or delam around the swallow is a pass — and Mind Expander Twin is a different board.
