Snowboards comparison — 2022-2023 season
How they compare
Both boards are designed for all mountain riding. The Jones Aviator 20 uses a twin shape while the Jones Mind Expander is directional. The Jones Aviator 20 has a camber profile (arc underfoot for strong edge hold, pop, and stability on hardpack—lively and precise), while the Jones Mind Expander uses rocker (lifted contact points for easier turn initiation, float in soft snow, and a catch-free feel). The Jones Aviator 20 is slightly stiffer, though both sit in the stiff range.

What to inspect and what not to confuse when buying used. Not on-snow reviews.
Jones’s camber-leaning all-mountain board. Used supply is moderate; confirm you are not buying a Mountain Twin or Stratos, and inspect the base and edges rather than paying for a newer season sticker.
Playful powder/freeride shape. Used examples are worth it when the base is flat and the swallow or tapered tail is intact. A dinged tail or delam around the swallow is a pass — and Mind Expander Twin is a different board.
