Snowboards comparison — 2022-2023 season
How they compare
Both boards are designed for all mountain riding. They share a directional shape — different nose and tail; built to ride forward with better float in powder and drive on groomers. The Jones Frontier has a camber profile (arc underfoot for strong edge hold, pop, and stability on hardpack—lively and precise), while the Jones Mind Expander uses rocker (lifted contact points for easier turn initiation, float in soft snow, and a catch-free feel). Both are rated 6/10 flex (medium).

What to inspect and what not to confuse when buying used. Not on-snow reviews.
Playful powder/freeride shape. Used examples are worth it when the base is flat and the swallow or tapered tail is intact. A dinged tail or delam around the swallow is a pass — and Mind Expander Twin is a different board.
